Does anyone have a source for the hood hinge repair kits for a 230SL W113? Was just informed by Gernold that the company that made the ones he sold has shut down. Does anyone have a set they would like to sell or a different vendor I might contact to get some? Any help would be appreciated.

I would suggest the next stop as either K&K Mfg (Cheryl is the parts lady) in Michigan, Millers, or Buds Benz. These folks are easy to find on the web, and all do a very good job.

That's very unfortunate.  It was a good repair kit, I hope someone else is making exactly the same thing.  (I have it in my car).

A replacement for these repair kits are easy enough to make out of a flat piece of steel suitably drilled and tapped with a metric tap.

I thought the whole purpose of the kit item was so the nuts slid in the slot in order to fine tune the hood adjustment?
