Battery cable route to starter
« on: February 15, 2012, 07:15:38 »
There are some very good photos of the route for the battery cable to the  starter, posted already, however I am interested in where these photos leave off at the front of the oil sump.  Can anyone show me where the brackets go from here to the starter itself plse.  Also the last bracket on the  front of the oil sump brings the cable perilously close to the exhaust?

Hi, yes I do have a RHD car.  Thanks Naj,  I have an extra drop down braket in the middle of the sump and I am wondering whether it should be down the side towards the stater motor?

A few photos showing the route before engine rebuilt and after. The bracket in the middle on my engine is not a grommet type but just a clamp.

Hi thanks all for that.  It seems i am missing a few of the brackets on the starter side.  In the meantime I have taken the stright bar fitting off, under the damper and moved it aroiund to the starter side.  A lot harder to retro fit the brackets on the starter side  with everthing in.  Nice  refit on the engine!
