Windscreen Washing Tubing

Can anyone post pix of the routing of the windscreen washer tubing from the bottle to the firewall and to the nozzle.
When I purchased the car it was without bottle and tubing.
I mounted the bottle next to the brake booster and temporarily routed the tubing to the cowl nozzle through the large plug on the top of the cowl.
It looks like it may route to a rubber grommet on the flat side of the firewall.
Any ideas how to fish the tubing from the nozzle to the proper firewall entry point ?

Hi Ed A.

Here are three photos that I took to help me put mine back together when the restoration progresses that far.  The first is from the reservoir through the correct (I think) grommet in the firewall.  The second is the routing through the cowl air inlet chamber.  The third is the location of the hose hole into the cowl air inlet chamber.  You cannot see it from the pedal area inside the car but you can feel it in the hidden wall of the air inlet chamber where the red arrow points.  It`s the lower hole in the second photo.  The routing above the upper hole in the air inlet chamber is through the cowl scoop to the nozzle.  I think there are one or two clips to retain the hose in that area, but I don`t have a photo.

I have a 1971 280SL and I believe the correct location of the reservoir on the late model cars is next to the washer motor and in between the vacuum booster and the relays ?

I believe that is correct.  On the earlier cars there was a bracket and on the later cars it was just tucked in there.  Just remember mine is a RHD. Here is a photo of 49'ers US engine bay?

Guys, I notice the new washer motor you buy from SLS and others has a different sized bracket ( without the texture finish) that doesn't fit in to the holes in the engine bay ( you can screw one in and drill another which I don't wish to do). Does anyone know if you can purchase a new correct motor and bracket or do I need to try find a second hand one to refurbish?

I solve this by transferring the original bracket over to the new type washer pump. There are four little screws that hold the bracket.

Thanks Hans, I would l do that if I could but in this project car - it has already been replaced with the modern unit. Seems I need to find and old unit in any condition so I can use the bracket. At least it is good to know I can interchange the brackets. If anyone knows if you can still buy the correct one - let me know.

The separate bracket - no.
The correct washer pump including the right bracket - yes.
