Thank ypu to the excellent work in the tech manual for helping me with my stuck soft top.  In structions were very good and my problem, which I have been dreading for two weeks is solved.  Thank you again for great work

Just read it...wish I knew this Xmas Day last year, when I was a in a rush and lowered the top too quickly.
I called a friend in a panic who told me my new top will most likely be destroyed in the process - as he did previously (and countless others no doubt). I actually removed many fixings and removed the soft top compartment lid and then realized I could use the trunk (and it's hinges) as a form of fulcrum to lever out the stuck frame - thankfully without damage.
Needless to say, the tech manual method is MUCH easier.

When mine got stuck I actually had to unbolt it to get everything in alignment again.  What a pain.  But at least it was at home instead of on the road somewhere....

I lent my brother my car once... It came back with the roof stuck half way and with the fabric torn where he tried to force it out of the compartment once it was stuck,,

I was not happy... Although it gave me the excuse I needed to renew that cheapo tacky hood that the previous owner fitted.

I don't know what the tech manual says but I use a piece of old seat belt webbing, wrapped under the bow and then stand on the rear shelf to pull the bow up. It works for me.
