chrome ventilation

Hello group, I want to clean or if nessecary restore the 2 chrome ventilation grills at both ends of the dash.I want to take it apart completely to make a good evaluation. Anyone did the job allready? Are there do's and dont's? I added some pics to show what I mean. BTW these are not from my car.Regards,

Paul,
if you find a shop that will strip and re chrome yours pls let us know.   i have not been able to find a shop that will rechorome mine.

be sure to document the re assembly procedure and make sure that if you have them re chromed every part it itemized and accounted for.
