Title: Idle throttle switch
Post by: jsandoval on January 12, 2009, 16:56:48
The idle throttle switch is not connected. Should it be connected? I found to 2 wires that have been cut and taped up. One is solid red the other is red with a green stripe. Could these be them?

Check the wiring diagram in the Tech manual... it will tell you most of what you need to know... http://www.sl113.org/wiki/pmwiki.php?n=Electrical.WiringDiagram

It would be interesting to determine what if any emission controls were present on the euro SLs.  Have a look at the emission writeup in electrical.  That switch is part of the emissions system.

Yes, if you have a standard transmission and a throttle switch, the throttle switch acctivates the fuel shut-off  solenoid on the injection pump.
