I am surprised that no one mentioned this car going over the block last night on SPEED channel:

Looked very nice. Bid up to a solid $49K even in this market.

Michael,

I agree - I was at the auction and saw this car in person. It was nice, but not spectacular.  Considering the color I was encouraged to see it go so high.    Another '68 280sl sold on Wednesday - a white one went for about $33k..also nice, but looked a bit more tired.

there was a very nice moss green SL that went on Mecum for $15K

Was restored; no reserve.
