Title: Congrats to bpossel; Cover and article in The Star!
Post by: mdsalemi on June 22, 2009, 19:20:55: Congratulations are in order to our friend and loyal contributor Bob Possel. His car is featured on the cover of the latest The Star magazine (the MBCA publication) and there is also a feature article to go along with the cover.

Way to go Bob!! Great job.

What started out to be a regular article turned out to be a cover. I was excited to be able to give our beautiful W113's the well deserved credit.
Without the help of everyone that is part of the Pagoda SL Group, it would never have made the mag or the cover!
So, thanks to all of you for your help over the past 5 years!

You should see if Mr. Anderson would be so kind as to export you a copy of JUST your article pages...in pdf high resolution format. Would make your own distribution useful. The Presidents of the MBCA sections get 3 copies extra to use for recruiting etc. These are sent outside of the inline mailroom processing of normal mailing thus they come earlier.

Bob, I think Michael's suggestion is excellent... if you are allowed to just distribute your article as a PDF to our members, that would be great. If not, just a reasonable resolution scan of the front page would probably not be objected to....

He said that the club will be able to access that.
Sorry I dont have any control over this! The mag sells for 5 bucks for past copies.

What a beautiful job you did on your 280SL. Congratulations. I am so glad to see a 113 on the cover, and there could not have been a more elegant choice than your car. I was contacted by the MBCA to put together an article with photos about my signal red 68 280SL and its unique documentation for 2010. I hope this means we'll see more 113's featured in future Star Magazines.
