Title: ML 320 ( Locking Unlocking Issue )

Anyone able to shed light on the reasons why the rear passenger ( Behind the driver ) door will not lock  ??? ???
Originally we were able to PRESS the door lock down to lock it, however, now it wont lock at all, even if pressed down with force! :-\

All other doors are able to open & lock automatically with the key mechanism.

Is this an early ML? I had one of the first ones into the US and it had all kinds of troubles with the remote locking set up.

Hi Jonny,

The year was 2000.
Do the doors have separate fuses?  ???
Is it a fuse problem?  :-\

I have a '99 model and have had no issues with the lock mechanisms.

Mine was a 1997 delivery on a 1998 model. I do not believe it was a fuse issue, there was a problem with the logic and set up. It would just not work, I would have to run through the reset program, and then it would work (most of the time) for a short time before dropping out again. It was a MB recall and that fixed the problem. If you have a 2000 year, then it is most likely not related to this.

Hello, Kemal,

Try the reset procedure in the owners manual.
I believe the key has to be left in the ignition during the process.
Mine was the later face lifted model and never had any trouble but as soon as I sold it, the new owneers wife was playing with the key and it started playing up...
