127.981 torque specs?

Hi all, looking for some assistance on finding the torque spec for an item on this engine rebuild. I have hard copies of the "technical data manual 1966" and "passenger cars starting in 1959". I can't find the torque spec for the cam shaft sprocket. Any ideas where else to look? As my user name implies, I do work on these cars for a living and know my way around the service information, but this one spec has really been hiding from me!
Any help is appreciated in advance!

Hello Glenn,

Can't say that I have ever seen this spec either. With the big split lock washer, these are not prone to come loose. I just hand tighten.

The torque is specified to be 80 Nm (Newtonmetres) by Daimler-Benz

Hello Hans,

Is that spec for the crankshaft or the camshaft?   Seems high for the camsnaft.

In a 1978 Haynes manual on the 230, 250 and 280 SL's, the camshaft sprocket bolt torque is indeed listed as 80 Nm, or 58 ft lbs.  The crankshaft pulley bolt is listed as 207 Nm, or 150 ft lbs. 

The latter gave me a problem as I have no torque wrench that will go to that value, just 100 ft lbs.  There's 3 dished washers between the bolt shoulder and the pulley.  I stacked them as per the manual, that is first on pulley is "point" out, then second is point in, third point out, then bolt shoulder.  This gives the stack with the largest thickness.  With a cheater pipe on my wrench, I tightened until those washers were collapsed, that is no space between the second and third, the first and the pulley, and the third and the bolt.  I hope this works!

Thanks,  MBZSE, and Ron for your input! 80nm is the spec for later engines for sure, I just can't believe I can't find it in the factory litature. I will be firing this thing up today, so I'm sure there will be more technical questions for me to post here in the next few hours. Stay tuned!
