Title: any good? 250sl auto UK LONDON

hi all - im a naive newbie and about to part with my life savings on http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C97222/ ......which is a 250sl 1968 ....little history and hes unable to confirm if 60 mileage is orig......would appreciate views on the 'look' of the car and referal to other threads re buying guide for newbie........as i go to inspect it in a few days.....  ??? thx very much!

Based in what can be seem in these pictures, it looks like a nice car.  The trouble is that these pictures do not show very much.  Do a search on this site about buying a car in order to identify the trouble spots before you go inspect it in person.

thanks v much mike....just found http://www.sl113.org/wiki/Buying/PrepurchaseEvaluation which is excellent.......btw does the drivers side headlamp look wonky to you....should they be vertical or do they splay outwards....just looks odd to me ..

Best to have it inspected first.
