Title: Old Becker radios
Post by: JamesL on February 04, 2004, 09:20:58
Found another UK source for revamped radios

http://www.vintagewireless.co.uk/

Seem very very helpful and knowledgable and can do things like link your Becker to a changer in the boot etc

I've also had an email "offer" (requested via the site - fill the form...) from

http://www.koenigs-klassik.de/indexe.html

€280 for a restored Grand Prix with auto search.

Also offering all the links to CD changer and a cable to attach your iPod.

Just an update.... bought mine from Koenigs. The radio looks brand new, great service, very nicely packed and I forked out for the changer/remote/iPod cable. Rainer Koenigs was very helpful on email and the English is not a major issue.

Radios are a popular thread topic.  Maybe we can use this discussion thread to consolidate information on places that supply or service radios and antennas.

Here's another resource, Becker North America:

There's another good source for Becker, Blaupunkt, Hirschamnn, etc, in Burbank CA. The Walter Odemer Co. 818 846-2819. He's been there since the "tube" days and specializes in vintage equipment. He's an authorized center for the above mentioned products.

Hello,
Ed Ebel with Becker of North America  EEbel@harmanbecker.com is a great source of Becker radio repair and restoration. In addition to being a great source of information, Ed also supplies a great variety of parts, radios, antennas, speakers etc. He can provide literature and wiring diagrams also. I just recieved a new Becker vintage radio pamphlet from him.

Mention our group if you contact him, he has supported our group in the past with information and some very nice door prizes at last year's Blacklick Tech Session.
