Title: What is thi odd object in the trunk?

The odd canister looks bolted onto the trunk floor and not factory. Does anyone know what it is? Thanks, David(http://)

Its the spare wheel mounting bracket.

The bolt with the handle and big washer are used to secure the wheel.
The wheel is placed outside down and the wheel cavity can be used to store items in it.
Whe wheel also has a vinyl cover over it.
