Title: clock adjustment
Post by: joes on April 03, 2011, 18:43:45
Hello all,

I sent my clock out for repair and it now works but loses about 10 mins per day.  It the Tech manual it says that you need to tweek the adjustment pinion over a period of days to try and arrive at the desired time.  I pulled the clock out but I don't see any kind of an adjustment screw that indicates +/- on the back of the clock.  Where is it?  Do I have to open it up?

tx to you all in advance.
Joe.

No, you do not have to open the case. The adjustment screw is lined up with and about a 1/4" to the right of the bottom 2 terminal pins. It may be covered with tape to prevent tampering during a warranty period.

Don't know how close your clock is to mine, but I found out (over several days of testing) that about 45 Deg. rotation of the adjusting screw changed the time about 2 minutes/24 hours.

Eventually, I got it to keep time within about 2 minutes over a 5 day period.  Hope this helps on your adjustments.

Hello Gus and Don and thank you both for the info.

You were "bang on" in that a white VDO sticker was covering the adjustment screw!
