Title: 1970 280SL - Courtesy light flickering
Post by: rad-man on May 09, 2011, 15:41:07
How many different switches control the courtesy light?
1) Driver door
2) passenger door
3) ?

My light randomly flickers on/off while driving. I've checked both doors to make sure they are shut properly.
I'm guessing either a faulty door switch or some other source of a loose connection.

Check the brake fluid level and the float sensors in the tank. The brake warning light and the courtesy light sharing the same circuit is one of those peculiar design quirks we so love about these cars.
