Title: Headlight adjustment
Post by: Via Manci on November 29, 2011, 19:55:19
While adjusting the headlights on my 230, the little nylon wedge shattered.  So I need new ones.  Any suggestions.

Thanks.
Michael

It has been over 2 years and I still have not received one suggestion.

Try Mercedes Benz itself directly...

I had a similar problem, the thread was stripped.
I had some old headlight parts from a W 108 lying around and yes, the nylon part is identical.
Perhaps this helps?

I tried to find these parts from the Classic Center and was told they don't sell that part seperately. On my W111, I had to buy the entire light frame to get that white adjusting nut. So a scrap yard would be a good place since UJJ says they are the interchangeable.

I would think someone will repo that part soon because many cars have them and because they are plastic, won't last forever.

Wallace,

I think I have another one, since the W108 comes with 4 per headlight. They are not new, but they'll work.
PM me if you are interested.
