I hope I did my "search" homework properly this time...
Is anyone aware of a supplier of the ribbed rubber lining in the door entry area, who would have it in blue color? Black are available quite widely. SLS do not seem to have them in blue. Maybe some of you know anyone?

>:( Hi Pawel,
I read recently that the ribbed door sill rubbers are currently available in any color you wish - - as long as it's black. (Henry Ford)............ ;D Would it be totally ridiculous to think that somewhere in the world of high tech, modern paint, there may be something available that would do the job - - just as long as you keep your footsies off of it) ?
Good luck, Hank

The linings can be color matched by a good upholstry shop. The upholstry shop I use can match about any color. They made a heal pad and floor mats for my 4.5 sedan last year by coloring a pagoda mat and cutting it to size. This could be done with any of the rubber linings.

While you can certainly make it any colour you want I was under the impression that the ribbed rubber as you entered the car was originally black, regardless of vehicle colour? ???

Seems as though the term "originally", is time sensitive. As such, it's one thing at one time - - and another thing, at another. I read that "body" color entry sill rubbers were available - - until such time that this option was no longer available and then, only black was available.
So, as badali says, check with your upholstery shop.
Cheers, Hank

Gentlemen, thank you for replies!
On the color: again, if you look at the Technical Manual, Upholstery codes section, bottom of it - you will see images of building instructions for 280SL by upholstery code. If you look at code 245, you will see rubber linings in blue. Alfred has recently posted a list of alterations to this schedule when he was helping me on center tray material. I but I do not see, however, any point on the colour of the entry area lining. So I am aiming at blue.
Asking upholstery specialist can definitely be a way of doing this (Brad, can you share their site address?), but wanted to check if, perhaps, anybody supplies that done in blue. SLS don't, Niemoeller don't, couple of others in Europe don't, I am not even writing about Mercedes - not worth it, so I thought maybe in the US there is someone.
I have recently found on e-bay blue linings, but the seller had them only for 107.
Thanks for help!
