A photo just sent today, of a bookshelf at the gift shop at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Stuttgart.

What is funny?

Grins of acknowledgment? 66 people, many of them here, are "resident" in the museum in the Pagoda Style book. People from all over the world browse their smiling faces, their beautiful cars, and I think this might bring a big grin (x3) to Tosh! Just a guess, however... ;)

;D ;D ;D
Made me smile, will have a look later in the year whilst going to Euro Tour.

I am delighted for Mr S
If there's been some other sort of smiley readily available, I may have used that
But at the time, copious smiles seemed good

Michael: I am glad they are back on the bookshelf. When I was there in May they were sold out. Given the number of English speaking visitors at the museum every day, you could sell hundreds of them There are very few English books for sale there.
This is the best place in the world to sell your book
go for it

Doug, the Museum bought the remaining inventory with their third order. All contributors will eventually benefit, as the project was non-profit as originally proscribed.

There are at least one book less in shelf of the museum since I ordered one immediately after that the thread was posted. ;D

On behalf of the museum--thank you! Let me know when you get it!

I got it a week after I ordered it. The book looks nice.
It is in good company along with the Brian Long book, the new Mercedes Classic magazine and several others in a pile of books, queuing up and ready to get read.

Hi Michael
I was in the Museum last week but had to rush and I really missed going to it as I wanted to buy your book. I have a question: Are the books numbered, as I'm hoping to get a particular number out of 500?
Thanks

Michael: I spoke with Michael Bock from the Classic Center in Stuttgart. He was a Pebble Beach last weekend and we spoke at the cocktail reception. I advised him about the lack of MBCA information in the computer Kiosk and thae fact that your book had sold old very quickly and lack of English books at the Classic store.
He was not aware of these issues and asked Laura Simonds who was with me to discuss these issues with one of his subordinates to remedy these problems.
