Title: Locking clip - gas pedal rod on firewall

Hi Group,

The gas pedal rod on the firewall has a locking clip on the far right side that prevents it from moving sideways through the bushings.  I had a heck of a time removing the clip from the rod, and now I can't get it back on.
Anyone have any hints or tricks?

Is this why its sometimes refered to as a 'Jesus' clip?
