Title: pre-purchase inspection in Kent?

Hi everyone

Thanks for you recommendations for a mechanic in Ireland - Ben Cosgrave was very helpful and took a look at the car for me.

I've one more to see located near Sevenoaks in Kent and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for someone near here? I've asked Colin Ferns, Roger Edwards and John Haynes but they need the car to go to their workshops and the owner doesn't seem keen on me taking it away to do this. Would anyone come with me to take a look at it?

Near Brands Hatch apparently James, so London end I guess. Any help very much appreciated!

Neil, the Irish one looked very good actually but I was beaten to it :(  The search continues!

You may want to call Kevin O'Keeffe  - he's near Caterham (Warlingham - CR6 9QA) so not too far. Knows the cars pretty well and is at least the right side of town and not far from the M25/M26. He may be able to do it and charge you but at least the travel time would be a lot less!

Richard, 'Brands' is very close to me. I would happily have a quick look for you next week and give you feedback on whether i think it is a good car or not but then you would still need to go the next step and have the car properly inspected by, say Kevin or , a  'expert' willing to pin their reputation on the car.

At least then you will get more of an idea before committing either the cost or the time for a proper inspection. Let me know if that is any help.

Thanks for the offer Andy but the seller decided he couldn't part with it in the end. Shame, but understandable- it looked like a beauty!
