I am currently restoring an early 1964 European 230SL and am not sure if the handle on the door panel is correct. These do not look like the two styles I have seen in the forum. Just this evening I did discover a photograph of a 1664 with handles that look to be the same style.
Can anyone tell me if they are correct and if not can anyone identify what they are from.
Thank You
Gil

I have never seen a door pull like that. What is the material covering your door panel? It almost looks like a felt type material or maybe its just the grainy picture.

The pull looks like a 107, but the 107 has an armrest integrated into the lower part with the pocket below it.
Maybe the factory was trying out the design or someone "self-engineered" it?

Thank you Jordon,
Based on when the car was last restored (late seventies) I would guess that the covering is standard vinyl. It appears pretty normal in person and is only grainy because of the piture. I took it with my IPAD.

The latter. Absolutely custom-made. :P
As Rick mentioned, the door pocket is correct, the armrest plus handle is not. ::)
If I were you (I know, I am not ...) I'd replace that handle ASAP with an original one if you can find one ...
Just my 2 cents ...

Achim, Thank you for your input.
I would like to correct them if possible. I have been looking for the correct armrest pieces for awhile but have not seen any.
Does anyone know where the correct armrest/door pulls can be purchased?

It may be a long shot but this "lot" on ebay has a door armrest that MAY fit (?).
