Title: Pricing

Recently helped a friend get her 1970 280sl convertible running.  Now we need to get a general ballpark for a beginning price to sell it.  It has minor rust under it.  I'll have to look again, but I think it has about 53,000 miles.

Closeup pictures of the rust would be helpful.  A little rust may or may not be "just a little".  Have you lifted up the floor soundproofing?

the price guides in the autotrader etc. should give a ball park - check ebay for completed sales and if you do a search on this forum there is lots of info on pricing.     

other info like "matching numbers, how original, airconditioning, hardtop, condition of everything else etc." would help.

Do you have service records on this car? The odo resets at 99,999 miles as it only has 5 digits. I wouldn't trust that mileage without documentation. 
Aside from the rust, which already makes me not want to believe the mileage, what is the condition of the car? Interior wear says a lot about what the mileage might really be.
