Just wondering how many Italian spec. W113's we have on this site. My '63 is body no. 312 shipped to a Italian dealer in Sept. 1963.

You can look at the vehicle register in the tech Manual where, if everyone has loaded their cars and included that info, you can manipulate the data base.

I have one. It's a ' 66 with a ZF 5 speed.

I have one that I bought in '87 from the guy who imported it to the U.S. in '84. Details are below.

There are 12 cars noted as Italy in the Registry (only 12 of over 400 cars).
There may be others but Italy was not mentioned or some cars are not included in the Registry.
My "Italian Stallion" was was shipped to Genoa in late December 1968.
Must have been for a secret mission as the VIN ends with "007007" 8)
Data Card shows Option 620 "Version for Italy" and Dealer Location as 543 "Italy"
Dealer's sticker is still on the Hardtop and each front fender has the small orange Marker unique to Italy cars.

Mine is an Italian car.
Lost its side markers when it was taken to USA.
Mine was a 4 speed manual but I have recently converted to 5 speed.

I have an Italian 5 speed ZF, white DB050 with dark blue MB tex interior (originally green MBTex) that I've owned since 1976. Was purchased originally by an Italian physician from Rovigo in 1967. Still has Fiat style blinker repeaters, Euro headlights and all original Italian regsitration documentation. Has made the trip across the "pond" twice since I've owned it.

That orange side marker is available for $9 from Mr. Fiat on the web, as a Fiat 500 part, not a Mercedes part, which they also sell some parts of but not the Mercedes side marker. I bought one and it`s identical except for the contact pin on the back.

PS: I should start over. This is a really confusing post. I meant to say that the Mercedes repro side marker is a Fiat 500 part. They don`t list it under their Mercedes parts, but it should be.

I should get a pair of those small lights because they were removed long before I purchased the car. The holes are still there, covered up with metal plates.
Not sure I like the look or not though.

Not sure you will find a MB part number for these. I believe they were added at the Italian dealerships as part of the Italian registration process . Most I have seen were manufactured by Magneti Marelli but I'm sure there were many others sinc emost Italian Cars I recall seeing dhuring my time there used this very same light.

Mine is a May 1968 Italian. It was shipped to Turin then came to California and now Toronto. The small orange fender markers on the front were removed as well as the euro lights and kinder seat. It is now back to original except the marker lights and the colour change from beige grey metallic to silver. It went back to California on the route 66 tour and is now going to Calgary to be with my son Oliver
