real pleasure for eyes. Could you tell us about the whereabouts of theses pics? Some of them look as if the car were far from NY...

You just need the rear chrome trim pieces to complete a great looking car ;)

Kayvan,
Thanks for the pics. I've got a 291H Dark Olive 70' 280 that I'm restoring now. Glad you showed me what the light tan rag top looks like. I'm going for that color too. What tires are on your car?
Looks awesome.

In Pics...its Pirrelli P400 (now discontinued)....I dont recommend as they appear very large, and have bad grip in cold or rain.
I just replaced with Kumho Solus for $62/ea.
PS, not sure if you have Cognac interior....I would recommend going with Tan GAHH seat set kit & dash skin v. replacement Cognac which looks like leopard skin
No vendor makes an authentic Cognac (eg, red dotting)...according to Paul Russell which I discussed this with on flight from Pebble Beach.
I used tan carpet as well...I think Oatmeal is option

Nice work. Love the color.

Kayvan,
I'm sticking with the Cognac, because the carpet and other trim is in great shape. Only the seats are cracked. I'm using the GAHH leather and top too. Thanks for the tire info. I've wanted a BRG 280 since I was a kid, yours looks amazing.

Got it for $4K
I may post restoration pics...not relishing know-it-alls in main forum picking apart my flat v. semi-gloss or tires v. $$$ choices...lol

Mr Kayvan,
Please share pictures of your car. The important thing is that this is your passion and not your livlihood (wasn't there a Harry Chapin song about that and a janitor who sang) so go and play with the colours and finishes you like. Your car is gorgeous. I love that colour.
I understand your pain with various competing interests for the $$. In the last month I just picked up a Zodiac inflatable boat with a few leaks, a boat motor that doesn't run, a Honda Goldwing that had a fire and hasn't run in 25 years and a hit and miss engine that hasn't run in 50+ years. Am I having fun - you bet - do I care if I have black instead of dark grey on the rocker panels - not one bit.
Show off your car, its beautiful.

Good advice mate.....my other car is a Ford GT
So the SL got no love since its 2007 resto
I moved to Newport Beach in Nov....and MB Classic Center was my first stop
They have fixed stuff on my SL that wasn't right since '91
Enjoying life is the best revenge !

Kayvan: This is a great color combination!
I am working on a 1968 250SL which is DB717 with Blue tex. I wish to know if your carpeting is square weave, do you have rubber mats in the footwells , are your door pockts elastic and your seats basket weave pattern? Lastly, what are the last four digits of your serial number?
