Just passed into new territory and passed 2 days of total time logged into the site. What a great resource for information, sharing and learning about Pagodas.

Chuck,
I so agree, it is a super forum and a wealth of information on our cars ... I'm here only a few months and I'm past double your time logged in ;D ... I'm starting to understand why my wife is mad at me :) then she knows I'm a car nut.

Has anyone caught Garry or Naj yet: http://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?action=stats

I am not going to show that to my wife, I will disappear off the forum for some time if I do so.
Obvously I am using the full facilities of the Tech Manual spending so much time reading and trying to get my current Pagoda up to scratch :o ;D
Heard my old Green Kermit is now back on the road after a full repaint into Navy Blue :o
-
Peter,
Considering that Garry registered in 2007 ... and at the rate I'm going I will overtake him soon (date registered verses time on line anyway) ~grin~
Like Garry, I'll never tell my wife about this statistic ;D
Most of my time is spend reading the Technical Manual ... I just find it fascinating.
-
Most of my time here comes from ADDING to the Technical Manual... and that's an invitation.

Peter,
here is a statistic that I would like to see: who added the most words to the technical manual?
And I mean new words, not copying old posted material.
Most of my time is also spent adding to the manual - and every time I start it takes me ~30 minutes to relearn the Wiki language! >:(

I tried a long time ago the wiki language and failed, then gave up. So I'm clearly not a savvy computer user but there you have it!
-
Cees,
you are still too young to claim that you cannot learn a new language! ;D
-
I must admit I have also tried a few times adding items to the tech manual. Sometimes successful and others not so successful. I think it is the fear of messing it up that makes me hesitate.
-
Wiki actually uses a language called simplified markup... And it is used for all Wiki's around the world. If in doubt, just add straightforward text, and ask me to clean it up.
I'll have a look to see if there is a WISYWIG editor available. For me, it would just get in the way.
@Garry: it is impossible to break it. I can always revert a change, or fix it.

Here's a question, Peter.
My iPad is always powered on, almost always in range of WiFi. Safari is always running, and a tab is always there for this website, even though I am not actually using it from the iPad all the time.
Does this mean my "on time" is all the time that the iPad is powered up? It would be a bit inaccurate if it is.

Over 3,000 posts and almost 28 days. yikes

Hi Michael,
My situation is the same, but I'm sure that time is not all counted; only if you stay logged in with the website active on your screen would be my guess as to when the meter starts running. Otherwise I'd be on here non-stop.
-
I don't think it is very realistic at all. Take for example you are reading something and the phone rings .... time keeps running unless you quit the program or your screen saver kicks in after a minute or so (my screen saver is set at 15 minutes and I'm often interupted by the wife or the dog ;D). So it cannot be real time can it now ... in my humble opinion anyway.
-
Yeeeaaaah, that's it.
That's what we will tell OSO (Our Significant Other) anyway... It's actually all their (dog, OSO, phone) fault!
-
Right on Cees, you got that right

Anyway, it's better then spending all night at the Pub LOL (http://www.m3post.com/forums/images/smilies/drinking.gif)

What it does is to measure from the first interaction to the last, with a 5 minute delay. So if you use the site actively for, say 8 minutes, and then not for at least 5 minutes, it counts 8 minutes.
If you use the site for 8 minutes, then not for 4, and then for 1 minute more, it counts 13 minutes.

That explains it, i get interrupted all the time by OSO and it may take me ten goes at reading each days posts, or that is my story and I am sticking to it.
Another telling statistic is the number of messages, I see mine is at 540. Way too much time on this forum.

My contribution to the Group is not so big, I'm not a technician so I'm sadly not the guy who can help someone with trouble on his Pagode, but I'm reading alot here!
