Title: 280sl engine into a W111

I want to bring a 1964 220SEB back to life.I have all the parts to build a 280sl engine .My question is what modifications may be required to do the install and would the engine bolt up to the W111 transmission.Or does anybody have a running 220seb engine laying aroung for sale Thx

It is a fairly straight forward swap if both engines are hooked to automatics, or both engines are hooked to standard transmissions. You may have about a dozen bolt-on items to change.

I do have a 220SE Coupe engine with 60,000 original miles if you prefer PM me.  i
