I have a 1964 230 sl. It was converted to have a mustang 302 with a 5 spd transmission. It looks factory from the outside. The only issue I have is it uses the mustangs shifter. I would like to use the top of the top of an original Mercedes Shifter and weld it to a mustang lower shifter. The goal is to give it the look of a factory car. Any suggestions? Anyone have an old pitted shift lever they don't plan to use? Thanks Nick

Nick,
It just so happens I have just such a lever that I got from Joe Alexander years ago. It also happens to be broken off just above the shift ball so perfect for you. Since Joe threw it in on a deal I will make the same offer to you. Message me an address and I will send it off to you free of charge. I will be away from home until the first but I can send it after that.
