Title: Blower engine
Post by: Lars G on June 03, 2014, 21:02:19
I am restoring  the blower housing and are now about to put it together. I saw on some old pictures from when I was taking it apart that there has been some kind of foam around the engine to seal of the two parts of the blower housing.
Does anyone have a picture of this showing it with the foam? What’s the thickness of the foam?

Hi Lars,
I used a 3 mm foam on mine.
Its a foam sold as tape with one side glued.
Its used in France to isolate from outside the doors and windows of the houses.
It goes very well as it doesn't need any mechanical strength, just air proofing.
If you need pix ,let me know
