Perhaps discussed before, anyway, found this little video with workshop owner "Gus" talking. Nice Pagoda SL:s flash by, and he clearly likes working with these gems.

What is the name of the shop, is it in our "suppliers" listing in the Wiki?

"The name is Pagoda" :D

Will this shop remain a mystery?

That is Beverley Hills Motors in Houston, TX.
From a couple of "parts cars" in the back, several in for major repairs and some just in for smaller adjustments, I counted 23 Pagodas at Gus's shop one day.
Excellent place to have a car worked on and a great guy to do business with.
(That is my Blue Grey 230 SL behind Gus. You can also see my car when the garage door goes up.)

I talked to Guss, he is very helpful and knowledgeable. He worked for Mercedes Benz was trained there and is now in business for more then 35 years.

I talked to Guss../...
Great!

That is a lot of experience

That is quite something to have that many Pagoda's gathered... But I suppose that they, at his workshop, perform repairs on many other M-B models as well

Gus Kidonakis is nearly finished with our third car together - he is extremely knowledgeable on all things Pagoda.

What I want to know is where did he get that shirt? Does he sell them, obviously without his name stitched on?

The logo on the shirt Gus is wearing is one that I had made for him as a thank you for the great restoration job he did on my 280SL. I had the logo designed and embroidered onto some work shirts. I have the same logo on a few shirts, but the car color is blue (the same as my SL) and the number plate reads 68COUP (instead of BHM). Send me an email and I will send you the contact details of the company that does the embroidering. My registration plate is 68COUP because in addition to the full restoration, Gus also converted the car from a California coup to a soft top version. He did such a good job that the only way to tell that it was a coup, is by the id numbers!
