I think I saw it for sale on the Beverly Hills Car Club web site. They titled it "perfect restoration candidate" and wanted $25,000 for it.

(actually this is in much better shape than the 190sl they described the same and wanted $20k for)

John, you should see the 190SL in Joe's garage.  Makes this thing look Concours Ready!

When done, that will sell for $90k+  Crazy.

Actually the car is re-generating. It is growing new wood for it's dash!

White.
White 050. And the interior is MB-Tex blue.
License plate was "S-EL 7" (S = Stuttgart)
before the car was dumped into the river Neckar.

It has lost quite some paint during the continuous washing process down there ... :o

I think it is amazing how the aluminum door and trunk lid have almost no corrosion.

Achim, was this yours?

Oh no, no, Mike ...! :o
Mine was sadly not as good as that one. :P

I am still wondering why it hasn't been restored since - with the prices going all up for the Pagodas ...

IMHO ...,
