Title: Windscreen wipers and barn doors
Post by: georgem on March 21, 2015, 21:36:45
We went for a run last night and got caught in a heavy shower - no big deal as we had the hard top on.

As we drove along with the windscreen  wipers doing their barn door impression ie slamming against the stop out wide then slamming in the centre - (no problem with each of them getting tangled with the other though) I can only ask .....is there an adjustment that can either stop this or at least minimise it a little. With the wipers on low speed the banging isn`t so severe but at the higher speed they really slam.

This isn`t a new issue - they have always done this but we drive in the rain so rairly (mainly by design) that I have just not worried about it...however, this time I have been DIRECTED to ....do something about it! ;D

cheers

George

On the wipermotorarm (under the dashboard) there is an adjustmentscrew to adj. max travel.
