Title: Badge Bar
Post by: ScouseJames on April 17, 2015, 15:47:08
Hi,
I have a very nice MB Club badge from the late 60s / early 70s that I want to put on my 1966 230SL using a badge bar.  I would appreciate any advice from anyone who has done this, especially if you have photos showing what you have done.
Cheers,
Jim.

Check the internet for license plates and the AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America)-I think they have them.

Here's what I did to my 356 after my ex got a Dip job at the UN in Geneve.
I wanted a period CD badge so I made a mounting bracket and used a period 356 license plate lamp to illuminate it.

Car was sold a year ago.
It was needed and came with many benefits. Somehow when she retired from her post the plate got misplaced..... only to resurface after the divorce. It now resides with the new owner.

I worked in Middle East, USA and Malaysia under the diplomatic umberalla and I agree, it has some privileges and perks. Shame you sold the Porsche though.

Late to the party but Beverly Hills Motorsports sold this back in late 80's. Pix from a 1987 catalog
