Title: Paint protection film
Post by: Eric280SL on May 02, 2015, 13:18:25
Does anyone have experience using a paint protection film, also known as a"clear bra"?  Are they effective in preventing paint chipping by rocks?  When eventually remove,do they cause any damage or alteration of the underlaying paint?  What brand product do you recommend ?  Do you recommend the use of these films in general? In retrospect, any lessons learned?  Thanks.

I had it on one of my daily drivers and I must say I did not like it. There can be seen a distinct difference in color from the area protected to the original paint areas. For our cars I don't recommend it. If you select your traveled highways carefully then I don't think you will need it. If you plan a long extended trip then there are tapes you can use to protect your paint finish. My 2 cents
