Title: Mercedes W111 Wiper Arm & Blades

Can anyone tell me what is the correct or original finish on the wiper arm and blade for a 71 3.5?
Mine presently have a brushed aluminum look to the arm and wiper blade. Is this correct. Or would
they have been chrome?

Sometime just after the 250SE, many of the interior trim bits became "satin chrome" -"A" post trim, horn ring and including the wiper arms. The theory was for safety in that to reduce the sun shining in your eyes on these surfaces. Not entirely sure if ever Europe went with the satin chrome on these parts. May have been a US only regulation. I find the satin chrome not to be as durable as it flakes off.
