I read the great thread below for instructions on flushing the coolant system...
http://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=6385.0 (http://www.sl113.org/forums/index.php?topic=6385.0)
I had a couple questions:
- Where is the cold start valve on the FI pump, referenced in the article? I've attached a picture that I think is the referenced hose to bleed the system. Can anyone confirm?
- Should the drain plug in the block be removed when blowing out the system?
Thanks,
Drake

In response to your "cold start valve" on the fuel injection pump question. We should clarify the terms as this may be causing some confusion. The unit you are looking for on the Fuel Injection Pump is the Warm Running Device Thermostat. This is not to be confused with a Cold Start Valve (connected to the air intake area near throttle body) nor with the cooling system thermostat (attached at the front of the engine above the water-pump).
The Warm Running Device Thermostat is attached to the fuel injection pump and has two water lines going to it. These are the water lines you are asking about.
The attached photo is stolen from this forum and points to exactly where the coolant lines would be found.
Enjoy the flush.

Perfect! Thank you.
Looks like I have the right hose identified in my picture to disconnect when filling/bleeding the system, but was referring to it by the wrong name. Thanks for the clarification.
