Title: Cold Start issues
Post by: Rolf-Dieter ✝︎ on September 11, 2016, 16:51:43
As of late I am experiaceing "cold start issues" in the past all I needed to do is Step 1) turn the key once to allow the rear pump to prime the line and feed fuel to the injectors then Step 2) turn the key to start and my engine would start.

Now it takes about 15 to 30 seconds at "Step 2" for my engine to start.

After stopping and restarting my engine (with the engine warm/hot say after 1 hour or so running) the engine starts right away.

Any thoughts what I should check?

Many thanks in advance ,..

Dieter

Rolf, when doing step 2 press on the accelerator about a third to half way.

Check fuel pressure first.  Then fuel flow at the return.  Finally visually inspect the spray from the cold start injector when cranking from cold.

Make sure the cold start valve system is working correctly. (CSV relay, Thermal Time Switch, and CSV Valve and Solenoid)
