Was siting in an Irish Bar in Kuala Lumpur last night and looked up and happen to notice an old music video (mid song) and was chuffed to see a 280SL which looks certain to be same colour as mine 906G (Grey Blue) - in fact, I thought it was mine when I saw the interior was cream with blue piping - which is exactly as mine was when I purchased it via UK ebay in 2010.
The music clip finished without them listing the artist or song name - I thought it was Annie Lennox (bar was too noisy to hear anything) and starting searching for the clip on my phone. On no - nothing came up! I ran to the DJ but he couldn't remember - fortunately he managed to do a search and confirmed it was "Roxette - Fireworks". Not sure if anyone posted this before but check it our below.
I realised it wasn't mine (apart from the different plate which could have been changed) as it has a white steering wheel and mine has black. I also noticed the rear mounted aerial whereas mine is in front. Oddly enough, when I purchased my car it had a black wheel with a (non standard) white steering hub padding and this one has a white wheel with a non-standard (black padding). Maybe the dark seat piping and contrasting wheel hub was the 'thing to do' back in the UK at some period in time?

One would assume it is in storage or undergoing a restoration - hopefully it is taken back to the 230SL it truly is...........or maybe it was sold to an Aussie!
Would I be right in assuming there were more manual 230SL's than manual 280SL's? I guess we don't have statistics on that?
