Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me, I am looking to have a custom rear "box" made up for our dog to fit in the back of my husband's 280SL for his Christmas present, so that the dog doesn't ruin the carpet/upholstery inside the rear shelf, I don't suppose anyone knows the dimensions or can get hold of blueprints/a diagram of the rear section behind the seats for a UK folding roof car, or might be happy to take 5 minutes to get a tape measure out for me?

I agree with Achim, don't use a wooden box :)

A special blanket, sheepskin or dog blanket you can find in your pet shop would do fine I think.

My Golden likes to ride up front (I use a dog blanket secured on the bottom seat and back rest from the pet store) and pretend to be the Navigator (mind you I ignore such directions) :) here and then she likes to rest on my lap.

attached some rough measures. I agree that a wooden box isn't perfect. A blanket or something equivalent would be better.

thank you for all the help, the box  idea is leatherette and just stiffened at the sides to stop muddy paws on the back rest
