Title: Lowering the rear a bit
Post by: Ebbe on January 16, 2017, 11:26:38
Due to the suspension type and new springs etc. my 230 SL is a bit high at the rear and the camber looking a bit like an old VW.

Is it possible to lower it an inch or so? Have anyone tried to heat up the springs or..?

This is done by changing the rubber pads at the top of the rear springs. The pads come in different sizes. This thread gives a good explanation:

There's also a metal 'cup' at the bottom of the springs that can be rotated to three different settings, that change the ride height and camber, you may want to check that out before taking more drastic measures.
