Title: Instrumental Light
Post by: spumarola on January 25, 2017, 15:58:03
Interior instrumental dashboard lights not working. How can I fix it? Maybe it's the light bulb.
Thanks

Hi,
it seems unlikely that all dashboard bulbs (2+7+2) failed at the same time. It should be another fault: fuse or rheostat/dimmer. In most cases it's the dimmer. Can you turn/move it? Sometimes this also causes a burned fuse. Most of us installed a dimmer by-pass because the dimmer ist more or less useless.

And don't forget to check the fuse, it's number 7 I believe.

Hi all. I have the same problem and would prefer to simply by pass the rheostat. Can anyone point me to a more detailed thread on the subject, with photos, wire colours etc? Regards

How about checking our very own amazing Tech Manual:

Really well described by whomever took a lot of time to put this in the manual.   Great info here.  Go to the bottom if you just want to bypass and not repair.
