I just reviewed the Teilnehmer for the Classic to be held here this coming week...and was pleased to see that the 203 cars include 10 Pagodas. As mine is not here, we'll be driving an E350e up the Silvretta Hochalpenstrasse. Pictures to follow, but the weather is supposed to be rainy.

France, Looking forward to seeing the pics!

Driven by the big Merc team that showed up... we saw them pulled over and polishing their cars before presenting themselves at Accreditation...a 280SL, nice interior. 40 of the best cars will be parked in the church square this evening, so there will be more pix. I'm pleased to report that the weather straightened out and it will be warm/hot and sunny. Thank god for the E350e's gorgeous interior and full-on A/C! I wouldn't like to drive an open '29 Bentley.

OMG...Several beauties, but hard to catch them because we were driving and navigating, and we would suddenly face them racing down a mountain road. Only 40 cars were brought into the square because in an old village there just is no space for 200+ cars, but among the chosen was a Pagoda. Here are some of the Mercs...

and the finish line. We won the last etage against Hans-Joachim Stuck (!!) Boy, was that a freak accident, but the crowd loved it, and he won the overall rallye anyway...our little moment of fame lol.

Thanks for posting the pictures France.
Always a surprise! I have never seen additional chrome side trim as on the 1970 280SL (car 157 in images 2825 and 2826)? :-\. Everyone to his own taste. I also find the bulky looking fuzzy seat covers a bit over the top.
