Title: Interior question
Post by: StevenF on July 17, 2017, 16:06:33
Please take a look at the fabric--is it supposed to be folded this way?

No. Screw into the panel below the air vent is also not correct. I think the fabric is supposed to be split in such a way that the seam is underneath the chrome trim strip. Very difficult area to get right.

Here is a closeup of mine. Not sure if MB Tex was applied differently then leather.

As John's picture shows the screw should be hidden under the MB-tex/leather piece. That is a large single piece covering the dash bolster above and, as Dan types, is therefore very difficult to mold correctly.
It also covers the windlace and then the end is covered by the chrome trim.

The screw goes through a small wooden block that fills the space in the dash.
