Title: 230SL Soft top chrome strip needed

Looking to buy the chrome strip that goes into the wooden bow of an early soft top, don't mind having to rechrome as long as the trim itself is undamaged. I was sure I saw a reproduction one somewhere but cannot find it now so if anyone has any ideas???

Thanks for that Alfred, I have one on order from Mercedes. It was the last thing I'd expect them to have so I didn't even bother to ask, once again this forum comes up trumps!

Scott,
when you pick it up at the dealer make sure to check for any damage right away.
When I ordered mine fortunately the salesman at the Mercedes dealership noticed some damage to the rather flimsy packaging and sure enough a few nails in one corner were no longer straight. Second one was perfect.

The new chrome strip has arrived and is very lovely, no damage and was packed in a very sturdy cardboard tube.
