Wow, I missed a trick!
I've never had to pay for them; I could have been selling them for €50.00!

So, does the value of our SLs, when for sale, go up by 80 or 100 if the data cards are included? ::) ;D

I got mine from Tom at MB classic center in California in 2014. All Tom needed from me was proof of ownership and the VIN Number.

I received one today for my 3.5 coupe from a supplier I deal with. I didn't know he was going to do that for me so it was a nice surprise. I've never had one for any car I've owned so it was interesting to see what changes were made to the car since new. Aside from a color change it's very original.

One interesting note on this euro car was that it came without the 280SE, 3.5, or AUTOMATIC on the trunk lid. It also had a rear fog light on the left rear upper bumper.

Hi Stick

Are we talking about soft copy replacements (ie as per the scanned imaged emailed currently) or does this imply that MB will start recreating actual hard copy versions?

If so, I would be happy to fork out 100 Euros for a hard copy replacement !

Regards
Franjo

Nope, just the standard poor quality photocopy.

Franjo,

Not that i would do this, but i have seen it done.. You can print the card onto a sheet of card, then pop it in the dryer with a towel for 5 mins.. it comes out looking aged and fairly original...
