Title: W113 propshaft compaibilaty
Post by: Yooks on January 27, 2020, 14:33:19
Hi all, I recently bought a project w113 doer-upper. It came with no propshaft. Upon my worldwide search for one, several people had suggested that some w111 prop-shafts would be compatible. Would anyone have some more clarity on that for me please.

That's correct.
Needs to be shortened though.

As I understand it almost every model in the era shared the same back section of the driveshaft. The forward section length varied depending on the distance from there to the transmission in each model.
In case you should need to know, the hex nuts where the sections thread together are 42 and 46 mm.

He might have the front driveshaft you are looking for .
Also the rear shaft.
I purchased a complete driveshaft a few years ago.
