Hello guys, I’m thinking to replace the subframe mounts of the car and I was wondering which one was the best set to buy. After reading some post regarding the best quality of oem Mercedes for the engine mounts, I read that the subframe mounts ( oem quality) are not longer available and if they are ( very rare option ), the price is more than 600€. Usually I buy parts from mbclassic.de and sls shop. They have a kit from febi bilstein and the other maybe from meyle . Have you bought this kit from them? Is it a good quality kit for our cars? What do you suggest.? Thank you
Mauro

For the subframe mounts I always use the Febi Bilstein kit, no complaints.
-
Thank you, I will buy febi too

Check the price on a Sedan kit. The only difference is the black plate that goes on top of the mount which can be retained. In Mercedes world the price was less than half without the plates.

I just replaced the subframe mounts in my car. I had the original one with the Mercedes tag. They were not too bad but they had 50 plus years old. I hope the febi bilstein kit will last for other 50 years 😄. I believe that the subframe mounts NLA from Mercedes so the only resource is febi or other brands .
Do you confirm ?

Both subframe kits are available for the sedan 1083300275 @$380.00 USD and for the Pagoda 1135860033 @$660.00 are both available. Many online dealers will give you approximately 25-30% off. As previously stated, the difference between the sedan kit and Pagoda kit is the Pagoda comes with the top plates. Not sure what dealers in Italia will offer.

Jack,
What top plates are you talking about?
-
Hi Dirk,
The rectangular top plates that the four top body mounting bolts go through. You cannot see the center bolt that holds the mount to the subframe until these plates are removed.
-
Got you. Clear now.
In my case these were part of the kit. (approx.. $250 SLS)

The price difference in the two kits is extremely high and all you need to do is reuse the plates. The dealer I use will sell the 108 kit for $265.59 as will other online dealers.

Have you had any issues with febi bilstein kit? 660dollars is insane

Many websites like dbdepot or mbclassic.de have on stock oem parts like bushing , mounts etc. what is the difference between these oem parts and parts from Mercedes ? Should be the same quality right ?
-
Mauro, My experience with many automotive manufacturers is the original parts are of better quality then the aftermarket replacements. If this was my decision, I would purchase the Mercedes sedan kit and reuse the plate since these are not something that wears out. I also have a 37 year old 107 chassis MB and many of the original parts are still in operation and when needed and available, I use original replacement parts. Perform the job once by doing it right the first time.
