Title: Hard Top Cover
Post by: Ed Cave on April 07, 2005, 17:57:20
Does anyone have experience with this product? I would appreciate any feedback on this or similar hard top covers, particularly ones designed to work with a hoist. Thanks.

into their search feature. Then select the $34.95 model.

Sorry, its one of those weird sites that never offers more than thier basic URL in the address line.

I have one, but I haven't used it yet since my hardtop is still on the car.  It looks like a well made item and appears to fit well in the photos.

Ed,

I've recently bought and used one of these.  As the photo shows, it is in two sections, front and rear, hooked together with velcro.  It is made of lightweight material, but seems to keep the dust out (though not small creepie-crawlies).  The fit (at least on my top) is a bit tight, but is really okay.  I use it with (under) my manual hoist (the kind with four straps - Mitzi?), and it works fine.  My top stays up in the garage rafters 99% of the time, and I just had a cloth thrown over it; this was a big improvement, in looks as well as in coverage.

All-in-all, I'd say it was a good investment.

California Car Cover has a very similar one which was selling for $79.99 I believe.  Not sure if its the same material or not.
