Title: Parking sensors

Hi
I’ve seen solutions around parking sensors built into license plates frames that provide parking distance alerts thorough an app.

I’m keen to make sure I don’t ding the car when parking. Has anyone put anything like the above in place on their car? Interested to hear what solutions of any you’ve seen work

Unfortunately, I think if the parking spot is that tight then it's not worth parking a Pagoda in it.  I realize that Europe/UK is much more parking sensor focused that the USA, but that's my first thought.  I think you can also get something that is a license plate frame that has some sort of physical display/beep that doesn't have to be on your dash...

I think those cameras in the license plate frame work with your smart phone. I am not sure, however if these are sensors, I saw cameras working this way.

If you google "license plate parking sensor" you will find a zillion options, with or without video, with or without phone app, etc.  There are a LOT of choices.

I'd highly recommend the Garmin Drivesmart navigation with the BC 40 wireless camera
Neither needs to be hard wired in and the camera has a mounting set up that clips onto your licence plate. So you can take it from car to car with no headaches. Both are powered by rechargeable batteries.

If you dont want the GPS unit then there are many wireless cameras that transmit to your smartphone.
I'm recommending the Garmin on basis that it is a high quality product. The camera transmits up to 45 feet

I have been looking into this recently and have not much luck. The ideal kit for me would be fully wireless, app-based and be able to recharge through solar. Unfortunately everything I have seen seems to score poorly on at least one of those.

From what I can tell, the most effective solutions seem to be those that have power fed from the rear lighting, and have a dedicated wireless monitor that you can mount on the dash/windscreen - which is a little too intrusive for me.
