Title: Head gasket references
Post by: Figoulu on August 09, 2021, 12:14:10
Hi gents

Just questioning myself about what i found after several web researches...

Head gasket...
I could only find one reference that matches the compression ratio of 9.5... well my concern is about what if:

- the engine has been rebored ?
- the head has been machined ?
- the block it self has been machined?

Normally we shall find references corresponding to at least thickness of the gasket, and diameter of the cylinders supposedly if they are from original size of rebored

Thanks 👍

A standard head gasket is used in all these cases.

No problem unless something gets cut below factory specs.

Still surprised... but other times means other performances and other practices

If you have a possibility to make yourself familiar with the valve timing in detail, you will see that no valve is extended to full opening at piston tdc.
