Title: Protect the undercarriage
Post by: mauro12 on December 12, 2021, 14:56:20
Hello guys ,
I was wondering if could be a good idea to spray some liquid wax on the undercarriage of the car to protect from corrosion .
Just regular carnauba spray wax .
Is going to hurt or is doing nothing ?

I did spray the undercarriage in my W463 with wax, but it was a special Teroson undercarriage protection wax.

I think it is a good idea. I do not do it on my Pagoda as I do not drive even in the rain, but I did it for other cars.

The wax I used is the final/additional coat on top of all the layers of protection that are already there. Sprayed from a rattle tin or by an air gun. It is almost invisible when you use a clear one. I guess it is specifically formulated to stick tight and not to be washed away easily.

How the regular wax would behave and look, I have no idea. Normally one tries to use specific tools/means for specific purposes, I simply do not know.
